Hi, one more question (also it might be unnecessary): Is there a freeware dos tool, with which i can compare the version number of 2 same-named Microsoft files? For example: If already some patches are installed (e.g. with DirectX 9.0c), some of the ME files would be out of date. It would be great, if there is a dos tool (with return code) which compares 2 files, saying which version is newer. I dont believe, just watching the date code is enough. Thanks, Bjoern

Hi there , i have Win98 and Hardware based projects in want to publish for others. But as i come from Germany, our law, or better our lawyers, are very creative. In almost every situation u could get a letter with a bill over e.g. 600 EUR, just for dont showin ur private telephone number on ur page or so. Thats normally only needed for commercial sites, but as i said, our lawyers are very creative and in some special situations, even a private site as to follow commercial rules. I dont want to study that and as rules change regulary it is to much for just a hobby. Does anyone know a free anonym site for posting PC based projects (especially Win98 / Win2k and Thin Client Hardware)? I will not post any unlegal, porn or racism based content. So its ok, if the content is watched before allowin me to publish. But i dont want any private information to be viewable nor to be send to legal authorities. I know, that sounds stupid, but i only want to share my ideas (as the true intention of the internet was). So if anyone has a tip for me, he/she will be welcome. I only need 2MB for the beginning. HTML and Pics would be great, but html only would be ok too. And it should be FREE plz. Thx, Bjoern

Did anyone tranlated 98SE2ME into german already. Only found some postings from somebody who wanted to try. I am using Win98SE again, since i got some Thin Clients which i want to make Win98 CF-Card boot into RAM-Disk ready. Have used Win2k the last 5 years, but found Win98 on friends PCs to fix often. And now i am interested to make a small up2date Win98SE like so many did before. I own legal german licences of Win95 original, Win98SE, WinME (and Win2k). - The unoffical ServicePack v2.1d is available in german - IE6 & OE Updates are available in german - USB 1.1 & 2.0 UpdatePacks (NUSB?) are available in german - The Revolution Pack 7 is available in german (following the readme) - KernelEX does not need special Language as far as i remember If there is no offically posted german version, i would like to try it myself, also i dont want to invent the wheel twice (as we say in Germany). And if there are other Tweak-Packs which are needed to translate, i would be lucky, if i could help.
