  1. Hehe, I read that thread at driverheaven too. Probably one of the better defrag threads on the web. I have used perfectdisk before, and was not particularly impressed by it. I think O&O is better than PD because although it is slower for defrags, it does not make my system nearly unusable when it is running like PD does. Best blend of resource usage and performance has been Diskeeper pro, and I have no plans to switch to anything else atleast for the current releases. Diskeeper is used on my office network, and I have a license on my home system too. As mentioned in another thread, the autodefrag feature is its best point...truly 'intelligent' set it and forget it, doesnt affect performance if it runs in the background even when gaming.
  2. I've used Ultramon (trial version) with a two monitor setup and its helps greatly. The ability to assign open windows to each monitor is very useful, as well as the one-click transfer to the other monitor. There is another software called multimon (Atleast, I think thats its name, I havent used it myself) which is freeware. Don't know how many monitors it supports though.
  3. Another vote for diskeeper 2007. Best defragger I've used, and I've tried out the other big dogs too- PD (resource leech), O&O (slow). Yes, the automatic defragging method is really useful: truly set-it-and-forget-it, and doesnt steal your system resources either. More defraggers should implement this feature in the future.
  4. I use FRAPS, and so far it has worked on all games that I've played. Great little program! Also helps me to keep any eye on the fps when I am tweaking the settings and testing it.
