  1. Unfortunately, this is not my work. The author has posted a new version now and I will keep checking the site for updates and documentation.
  2. Has anyone tried this or willing to? neroLite is a little collection of tools and an installer-builder which lets you create your own customized nero installer with only the basic required components of nero burning rom. http://sourceforge.net/projects/nerolite/
  3. Supposedly this is a tweak that is used in Windows Longhorn but also works in Windows XP. Can anyone confirm a speedup? HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\Prefetcher You will notice in Windows XP: EnablePrefetcher = 3 In Windows Longhorn: EnableSuperfetch = 1 Well, guess what? You can put the EnableSuperfetch = 1 in Windows XP and get the same speed.
  4. When using VMWare see this post to install drivers: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=36724&hl= Outside of VMWare you will need to silently install you video card drivers and set you resolutions as mentioned above....
  5. Do you have Spysweeper 3.0 installed? This was causing problems for me. They have released a new build that fixes this.
  6. So since I'm trying to do a network printer I would just replace /in with /ia correct? What about the network settings? Computer name? Workgroup? The printer is actually connected to my wife's computer. Thanks for your time....
  7. Does this option include drivers or just basic settings? Store all printer settings into a file: rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /Ss /n "printer" /a "file.dat" and then Restore all printer settings from a file: rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUI /Sr /n "printer" /a "file.dat" Thanks for your help....
  8. Has anyone ever silently installed a printer on the network? I'm going to play around and see if I can get it figured out.
  9. ****. Never thought of that. I was going into the computer and disconnecting the power. The boot order in my bios doesn’t change anything for Windows setup. Windows still wants to install to the first IDE drive. (NF7-S v2)
  10. Ok. Here is my setup. SATA 1 - 80 gig Main Drive (Want this to be C drive) SATA 2 - 80 gig Storage IDE 1 - 160 gig Storage When I run Windows setup it always defaults the IDE 1 to the C drive. Is it possible to have it default the SATA 1 drive to the C drive? I can get it to work when I disconnect the IDE 1 drive but that is a big pain in the butt because I have to disassemble part of my desk to get the computer out. Just wondering.... Thanks
  11. I am trying to figures out the silent switches for a .msp file which is an update pack for ACDSEE version 5. I have tried many different ways and still can't get it to update silently. /S (It runs something but the version is not updated) /QB+ (installs it but when I check the version it's still the same) I've also tried to slipstream it to the original .msi file but it says it can't find a certain file and stops. msiexec /p (location of msp file) /a (location of msi file) Thanks...
