I have a system of 845 intel with intel progessor and kingstone 128 mb of ram, i recently replaced my old hard disk with new one. Windows XP is loaded in it and AVG antivirus. My computer is running smoothly but after few period of using computer it automatically restart without hanging. What could be the problem.. And i got a laptop to repair, I have to reinstall windows XP in that Compaq Persario v2000, windows xp is loaded in E: NTFS partation and c: drive has only 8 mb of size. my problem is when every i try to re install windows xp using bootable xp Cd it load but instead to view partitions to choose to install windows It shows a screen saying that unable to find the hard disk in it. What's that?? If I boot my old system is works, and when i use live linux CD then also it shows the hard disk , partations.

Wot did u use to change the boot screen, logon screen and icons bin trying to work it out any help would be great! Stoner81. I use Resource Hacker and similar program "PE Explorer & Resource tune". It will do the job which resource hacker can not do correctly, for example to change the logon screen if you add a new pic using resource hacker in logonui.exe it shows some types of error but i successfully did this task using pe explorer. But resource hacker is also good and also it is easy to use than pe explorer.

To give a new look to my desktop I change the position of my desktop icons (my computer, my document, recycle bin... etc.), but it's difficult to manage all icons on desktop manually so I use to auto arrange icons option, but when i do so all the icons arranged in default position that's left side of desktop. But I don't want so. I arrange my computer, recycle bin.. etc. icons at the middle-bottom of my desktop and I want to freeze it there, I want to make that position the default icon position is it possible , if yes then how. If changing the default icons positions is not possible then please help me to lock the icon positions which I arranged in a particular place on desktop.

I successfully created Windows XP unattended giving Vista looks successfully. There i changed boot screen, logon screen, icons, themes and sounds. Now I want to make another updated unattended XP in MAC Looks, but that's not the problem, I can do that. But I want to know if it is possible to include boths of looks (Vista and Mac) in one xp unattended and I have to choose one between Vista style or Mac style during windows setup. Is that possible.. If it is possible to use transformation packs to do above things using post installation, please let me Know... Please give me suggestions I m waiting for that Thanks you

I want to creat a Multiboot DVD which contain Windows XP, 2003, Vista and Linux operating system. And Live Windows XP and PQMagic based on linux boot image. How can I do so and which software is good for me. I extract boot image of windows but unable to extract boot image of vista, linux and linux based boot image. And also tell me how can I use that linux boot image. As you know I want to creat a dvd with multi windows OS how can I do so, when I copy windows XP and 2003 because both windows contain i386 folder and how can i manage same think in vista and linux

No the usual single beep sound before detecting hardware is not coming. And I did every think that I can do, but i don't have extra spare parts i have to borrow from my frn or have to take it to office.. And one more thing... When I press F2 (bios setup) It enter to bios easily, there every things looks ok

My system has Intel 945 board n intel pentium 3.0 processor with kingston 512 mb of ram. Windows XP is loaded on my 80gb segate sata hard drive. my problem is, when I switch my computer on. it shows Splash Screen "Intel".. that's it.. no further responds. So, to check if there is problem with data cable or cd or hard drive, i removed all additional hardware attatched with motherboard except keyboard . and still it's not work.. same problem Can you guys please help me to short out this problem... please . i appreciate your replies... I recently bought a Acer Aspire 4730Z laptop. Windows XP SP2 is loaded in it. But wireless network is not working in it. The driver CD is also provided with computer but when i install it it does not support. In Device manager (!) sign shown on wireless LAN. So I browse the Acer site for appropriate windows XP driver. But Amazing... i could not find my model of Laptop (Aspire 4730Z). What should I do.

Hi! Me Again. I got this problem not only Samsung Octa DVD writer. But all DVD writer which is new, work perfectly complete burn process within 5-19 minutes but after some time (1-2 months) writering process is increased to 30-45 minutes How can i solve this problem? formating the system could solve my problem??

I have samsung sc-202 DVD writer bought 2 months before. At first it works fine, write process complete within5-10 minutes but from fews days write process is slow. It tooks at least 30-45 minutes to write What's the matter? please let me know the solution. thank you!

Hi! 2 all I am a hardware and networking technician in an ISP, I got a problem which i m unable to solve, so pleae i request you guys to help me. My system is made of Intel Original 945 board, intel 3.0 processor, 512 MB of ram, My problem is when run the computer it shows splash screen (Post Screen) on display.. n yes, that's it!, No respond. But when i disconnect my harddisk and CD rom. then it shows, "Unable to detect boot device". What can i Do? I also tried a bootable LIVE Linux CD, but not worked it Hang on Post displaying a message press "F2" for setup. If i press F2, some time it goes to Bios otherwise this function is also stop. please help me

When i allow or deny i faced this new problem , and when i click on ok the explorer get terminate automatically and i have to re-run the explorer.exe pressing alt+crt+del>new task... here is the picture of this.. And one more thing I found that, when ever i click on any link in internet explorer then the above error appear and i have to allow or deny or quarintial explorer... how can i solve this problem. you guys said that the kaspersky is the main coz of this problem, but i don't want to uninstall kaspersky so please suggest me how can i set antivirus to allow that error always

I m using windows xp professional russian version. and from few days i m facing a explorer problem. (the screenshot is attached here). How can i solve this problem, and i m using kaspersky as antivirus.. and it detect that explorer.exe is transferring some hidden information... so it block it (explorer.exe) when i allow or deny it , it runs fine... but that message come in every minute... and allowing or denying that message several time my explorer.exe get terminated automatically.... What's the matter.. please solve my problem.. Thank's in advance

So i just want to know that if i re-install xp english version then will it work fine? Because i already used that windows xp english version in this laptop, but my laptop does not support that windows, (unable to install) that windows is in new CD i used that windows to my another desktop and it works fine, there is no problem in that copy of windows.

Hi! people, I have a little bit of problem with my windows xp sp2 home edition, but actually it's not a problem. I bought my new Fujitsu laptop from Russia, and that computer had windows xp sp2 home edition loaded but , when i run that system i found that it's all in russian language, when i tried to change it from control panel it's not happened it does not worked... if i re-install windows xp sp2 professional, english version in this then will it work fine???? please help me

I borrowed a working LG DVD writer of my friend. But when i tired to write on a Blank DVD (4.5 GB) it show the error that it could not write DVD on Disk-at-once. So when i tried to change the disk-at-once mode to track-at-once.... but... it's not possible.. the function is disabled .. i mean it's not changeable. I also uninstall the Nero 6.6 n install Nero 7.0 but nop... the problem is still alive.. What is the main problem...
