Couple times I got a little worried- it gave 3 choices not 5-and never asked for my recovery disk at all!
Then I had problems re-downloading Norton's.
Everything's good there though.
Now I have a new question:
I waited 30 mins. for windows update and still no updates will show-it sits at 25%-what's up with that?
Is there something else I should have done?

Unlock Taskbar. Drag it down and it will collapse the clock to just the time. Lock the Taskbar....

O.K. good information. Now lets try and isolate the trouble. If you disconnect the XP machine from the hub does the transfer rate pick up on the ADSL? If so does it maintain the speed for long periods?. Now if you reconnect the hub to be linked to the ME system does the speed fall off again?

Hello and welcome. First I will ask about your network setup. Are you using a router? Hub? P2P? Just how do you have your network running?

I see you have a RAID board in there. Where did you get the extra long 80 wire cables? I have a FastTRAK and it came with 18 inch cable and they just barely fit my mid tower case. When I get a full tower they are not going to be long enough........

OK, I changed it and I hope this one is alright. The last time I changed my avatar the size max was 120x120. Looks like a few things have changed on the rules. Thats good but it is hard to keep up on changes as they are made sometimes. Thanks for the reply....

I peiced this sig together. I had to use the "*" to space the top and bottom lines to center. What can I use to space the lines that will not be seen?

I priced out that system, 700 bucks. That would be using my HDD, Geforce4 card and Power supply as well as memory that I already have. I wanted to get it all from the same online store but they were out of stock on the CPU..... If you do not mind me asking, what in a round about figure have you got in your new machine dollar wise? If you do not want to post it that is OK......

I just looked at your manual from link. In section 1.7.2 it tells that if the RAM is not installed you will not be able to finish the POST and you will not get any beeps.... Check your C-RIMM and make sure they are installed correctly and have no damage on them. I see what you are talking about on your bank 0 and bank 1, mine is set up a little different but still the same concept. Check out that RAM and make as sure as you can that all is seated well and looking good......... I like the specks on that MB, I want to know how it turns out because I am thinking of upgrade myself...

PS: When power, CPU fan turn on. Board LED turn on. AGP card fan on. No video no Post.
From this statement and reading all the replies to your post, my question is have you ever seen the MB work? If it is new out of the box and has never worked the BIOS might be bad from the get go. If this is the case it will never work and you should contact your supplier for a replacement or you might have to send it to Intel for replacement. All the items that you listed that are powered up do not need the BIOS to function to work.
I hope this is not the case, but items have been known to bad out of the box..........
ONE more thing I just thought of, are you RAM sticks in the right locations?
After thinking about it sounds like the the BIOS information is not getting to the RAM. On my ASUS P4T the sticks are staggered.... i.e. c-ram then memory stick then c-ram then memory stick. Just a thought..........
