  1. You can if you want, but it won't affect much. The limit is not in the total number of connections, rather, the number of new connections per second.
  2. I use Nero 8 on a 2GHz P4, 768MB RAM, Vista Home Premium. No performance issues. Vista is responsive while Nero is burning DVD's and CD's.
  3. Try booting into Safe Mode. I believe that the Administrator account is activated there.
  4. That is a component of the nVidia driver. You can open the minidump in Windbg and see exactly where it's crashing, maybe something is triggering it. But in general, keep trying different drivers until the crashes stop.
  5. He won't get Aero with that GPU (even if it's DX9 compliant, he has too little RAM...Vista needs 1GB for computers with IGP's to display Aero). But performance with an IGP won't be any worse than a DX8.1 dedicated GPU. It'll be just like XP (GDI acceleration and all).
  6. Prefetch actually decreases an applications launch time, so clearing the folder is bad for performance.
  7. My solution is to run the uninstaller, then reinstall Flash. Works like a charm. I only had issues with it "un-registering" twice, both times this fixed it. http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html (down at the bottom).
  8. I'm keeping up to date with Intel's releases. Latest driver was released last week. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v218/War...ii/mobility.jpg That is what it looks like. The Wireless tile is present, but it no longer presents me with the option to turn off the radio. I've tried rolling back the driver, but it didn't help.
  9. I'm having a problem with the Mobility Center, and was wondering if anybody her had any ideas. Basically, I have Ultimate installed on a laptop, with built in wireless (a 2200BG). I used to have the option in the Mobility Center to turn off the radio, but I no longer have the option. The wireless tile is still there, but the button just links to the network center. Does anybody have any ideas as to how to get the option to turn the radio off back?
  10. I couldn't even get my Pro/100VE to work under Vista. I had to stick in another NIC.
