  1. I think I'll go for SP0 + SP2 + SP3 + IE7 + WMP11... There's no reason for SP1a I think! I have used direct SP0 to SP2 slipstreaming for years without a problem. It seems that SP3 is pseudo cumulative... It has 99% of the other service packs but not really EVERYTHING. But do you think going for SP0 + SP1a + SP2 + SP3 + IE7 + WMP11 would be a better choice?
  2. Well... that means that if you install Windows XP SP2 than IE7 than SP3 you'll get no updates (the same goes for Windows XP SP3 than IE7) that's just plain stupid! Grrr... let's wait! At least that's hope they put everything right by April 29.
  3. I'm wondering: What if you install Windows XP with SP2 and then IE7... Without going to WU (or MU) you install SP3, will you be able to get the updates afterwards? From what've seen SP3 blocks IE7 SP2 updates! You need to get them before getting SP3. I'm really confused... I don't know what to do to get Windows XP SP3 with IE7 up to date ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY APRRECIATED!
  4. You should always slipstream Service Packs before anything else. You are correct I believe IE7 requires SP2 minimum. I've noted in this thread http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=73960#73960 that XP with SP3 doesn't even list IE7 on Microsoft Update; not as critical or optional. Not until they fix it. So even if you manually install (or integrate) IE7 on XP SP3, you won't be able to tell if all of the current IE7 hotfixes are applied since MU also won't list IE7's hotfixes under SP3, from what I understand. Yeah I already figured that out!! Can anyone give a list of all updates released for IE7 since its release? I want to also integrate them because I can't get them from Windows Update (or Microsoft Update if you wich!).
  5. The uxtheme patch provided by nLite works on SP3?
  6. But slipstreaming IE7 and WMP11 will not overwrite (some) SP3 newer files?
  7. Don't you think it would be good to reapply the SP3 after adding IE7 and WMP11?? Just to make sure that all files are updated? Or would it just dump SP3 files and ovewrite IE7 with IE6 files? EVEN IF NOT SURE GIVE ME YOUR OPINION!
  8. Yeah! I want to know what's the best way to get Windows XP SP3 with IE7 and WMP11 from a good old XP RTM disc... What's the slipstreaming order?
  9. I want to integrate SP3 and IE7. How do I integrate it so that SP3 updates my IE7 instead of IE6 (it updates depending on what you have on your system but I don't know how it is on slipstreaming)?? I mean should I do 1 - SP0 + SP3 + IE7 or 2 - SP0 + SP2 + IE7 + SP3 or 3 - SP0 + SP3 + IE7 + SP3 (again to update IE7) I assume that SP0 + IE7 + SP3 is impossible since IE7 was made after SP2... P.S.: SP0 = WINDOWS XP GOLD (THE ONE FROM 2001)
  10. It's a shame you abandoned the project Well but tell me how do I use the SDK and that InnoSetup thing??
  11. Thanks for the cRAPIDSHARE links I hope to see 7.8.5.0 soon BTW what's the changelog from 7.7.5.1 to 7.8.5.0?? You know, if there's something IMPORTANT I might change to the NERO Official installer (for awhile)!!
  12. Well!! I'm wondering if this project is dead! The website has been down for awhile now If it is I'll have to switch to the bloated Full Nero once again But neverthless keep the good work!
  13. Any idea when should we expect a Lite version of 7.8.5.0? I just formatted my PC and it would be cool to use 7.8.5.0 right away without going trough the ULTRA BLOATED official edition So I may use 7.7.5.1 Lite till a 7.8.5.0 Lite appears
