  1. Is acpi.sys and acpi.inf part of the drivers, which I should integrate, when I integrate drivers for the mainboard? All other drivers for my mainboard have their inf file called machine.inf. So it's a bit baffing for me.
  2. Can I integrate drivers to nlite, extracted from my windows xp, which I have just installed? - useing e. g. the program Double Driver ? I want to integrate graphic adapter, mainboard, soundcard, ... (btw. do they each have just one inf file? - e.g. nv4_disp.inf - for geforce, machine.inf - for mainboard drivers ... ?) - so I can remove all other drivers for devices, which I don't use in my computer. Firstly I'll remove all drivers and then I will integrate the drivers, which I have extracted useing Double Driver. Is it true, or is there any other /better method. What about find the inf files in the C:\windows\inf directory and the program Double Driver to use only for finding the currently used drivers? (I have an older computer AMD 900 MHz, nVidia GeForce 2 - so I needn't to download new drivers, because the drivers from SP2 are of date about 2004 - so I thing its pretty good, and I hope, that they are compatible each other.
  3. Can I use the drivers which I have just installed in my "running" windows xp? What about to remove all the drivers in nlite, and integrate only the drivers which I need for my devices, and use for it the inf files in directory C:\windows\inf. Is it possible?
  4. Oh, my misunderstanding - it's mean, that when I set to hide the prefetch removal, I can constantly see the option to stop the service Task Scheduler. I think, my problems with bootvis can be caused by the setting - disabled Last Access Update (NTFS). Is it possible? Is there any reason to let this function enabled? I suppose that the defragmentation fuction, and perhaps the prefetching can be partly depending on the Last Access Update too.
  5. I'm talking about windows xp - yeah, the service "task scheduler" is offered to remove it - but that's it - when i disable this service, then no prefetching and no bootvis and no defragmentation improved just by the prefetch function. So I'm surprised, that this option - to stop, OR even to remove task scheduler is accessible, if I choose the option - keep the prefetch function ???
  6. Hi, how is it possible - in the setting of nlite, if i choose DON'T remove prefetch - nevertheless I can see the option: remove the task scheduler !! - So, if you do it, you have no prefetch funktion. (Prefetch needs task scheduler). What does it mean ?
