Have you ever bothered to notice the evaluation message in the EULA? (its right at the top you cant miss it - 180 Day License) Theres your 180 day timebomb. Thats why you cant just hex edit winlogon and assume it will be all ok. This will only activate xp, but set your clock foward 180 days and watch the magic.

The server family also has the nice 180 day timebomb also.

Sorry Blackwar, but Norton isnt the cause. I have proved this already, as it was my first suspect. And I have installed both xp and 2000 on this pc in question before with no errors whatsoever. I have been through everything so far except swapping th drive itself. But thats in the works in a few minutes. Thanks anyway bro!

I have installed XP Pro and 2000 on my P3 several times already, but everytime I do and run Norton Windoctor there are missing or bad active x/com entries. The cds are fine, as I have installed it on different boxes before. The cdrom is fine, I have swapped it out entirely with another and get the same results. The hard drive has no bad sectors. I am clueless. Would NTFS cause this? I dont think so, but I have no other ideas right now. Anyone know what I might can try or what might be causing this? I need to fix this because this pc will be my server. Thanks in advance!
