Crysis: Getting DX10 features to work in XP! No need Vista for XP

Doesn't matter, it would still work with any DX 10 game to come out anyways. The title is getting DX 10 features to work on XP. -
Im having the same issues you are with them. As I have posted this on every site, and nobody knows how to fix them. Most likely because Nvidia did not test these on Vista, before releasing 169.01/.02, they must have had idiots working on this version.

I am trying to install Vista 32bit SP1 beta. VSS stands for Volume ShadowCopy Service, it is saying something on your E drive is supported for the backup method it is trying (my thought on that part) and is not allowing the SP to install. Is there an install error log someplace? I can not find one. -

When I play The new Crysis Single Player Demo, I get freezing issues during game play. Every 15-20 seconds during game play my game will freeze for like 10-15 seconds, then un-freeze. Sometimes The game screen just goes black, and I have to ctrl+alt+del out, if I play another game, Frontlines Fuels Of War Beta, It happens too, except I don't get the black screen like on the Crysis game. The previous beta driver worked fine. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well I finally got it working!!! I bought a wireless b/g netgear range booster up to 104mbps and longer range. So I just think it wasn't in good enough range, possibly?
-
Ah I c. One of my family members through the **** reciept away for it, so now im stuck with this **** thing.
-
Because someone told me with a pci card, that it limits your bandwidth or something about usb 2.0 adapters not being so good.
-
Maybe I should have just stuck with getting a pci version.
-
It may be latency, or its to far away from the router, i can get one with longer range. I do not have firewall enable atm.
-
I get alot of request timeout's. Do you think I have just should have gone with a pci card instead?
-
I bought a USB D-Link Wireless Adapter. WUA-1430. Up to 54mbps. I am using it, because I am in a hotel for a few weeks, and when I try to play games online It so freaking laggy, that I can't even play any game online. I mainly play rappelz, an mmorpg. I did a speed test on it, and it says i get 1003kbps download, and 463kbps upload, so if its that fast why do I lag so **** much? One of my friends told me that, it may not be quick enough to catch up with the hotel's speed, or instead of using usb swap it out for pci one. I am also on Windows Vista Home Premium, with 4gig ram, and 350gb hard drive, Intel Duo Core 2 processor, nvidia geforce 8800gtx.
-
I just got an 8800GTS 320mb, and Battlefield 2 only lets me run at 8x, but in the nvidia control panel i have it set at 16x aa, and if i turn it off in the bf2 game, It won't be any aa. I tried to let nvidia control panel force it to 16x but I can't figure out how to.

My Windows XP SP2 No Longer Detects my dvd-rom drives. I have 2 dvd rom drives, one is a DVD-Rom and the other is a DVD+-RW rom drive. They were working right and detected good for a while, but all of a sudden neither one of my rom drives are being detected. They have yellow ? buy them, and it says the information in the registry is corrupt, or invalid driver, please reinstall drivers.

Nvida Geforce 7900GS. It has all the recommended settings except for it says my Intel Duo Core 2 6700 Processor, isn't compatible with it, that it requires a 3.5ghz processor, wtf? Mine does more that just support it. -

I have re-installed it, ran it in compatibility mode, and installed the newest updates. It just freezes on the black loading screen when your first load the game up or windows vista, says this program has stopped working, and closes. -

Yep, everything is updated. -
I have an intel core duo 2 processor 6700 and it says that my processor doesn't support it for both minimum, and recommended requirements. But it says I have recommended requirements for everything else, and i have downloaded new update, and it still gives me, game is no longer working error message and closes. Vista Home Premium. I did not upgrade from XP to Vista, it came automatically with my Dell XPS 410.
