coucou replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
I totaly agree with myselitem, especially regarding KB971033 . Google it and you'll see. As far as KB976902 , I've integrated it in my VMware machine and haven't got any problem. I have to confess that my VMware machine is only for testing Regards- 666 replies

Hi myselfitem, I've no problem with pop reboot in my Windows SP1 because I'm not replacing "Tokens.dat". I prefer doing it later and manually. I've KB976902 included in my SP1 too. Be care with KB971033 is the Activation Genuine in SP0. I don't know if any KB replaced this one. glance at IE9 languages adding BTW, I'm looking on how to add a link of Gspot.exe (is a free utility which identifies the codec) to my Control Panel. I'll appreciate any help

Right now I made a second test of IE9 +Languages. My Win7 SP1 DVD was prepared as follow 1) Integrate IE9 English, @echo off Title IE9 Integration Color 0A echo. "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\x86\Servicing\Dism.exe" /Mount-Wim /Wimfile:"C:\Win7_SP1\sources\install.wim" /index:1 /MountDir:"C:\work" "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\x86\Servicing\Dism.exe" /Image:"C:\work" /Add-Package /PackagePath:"C:\IE9\IE9-win7-x86.msu" "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\x86\Servicing\Dism.exe" /Unmount-Wim /MountDir:"C:\work" /Commit pause to see if errors 2) In C:\Win7_SP1\sources\$OEM$\$1\Install\ I added: IE9-Windows6.1-LanguagePack-x86-fra.msu IE9-Windows6.1-LanguagePack-x86-heb.msu IE9_langs_Install.exe when this file is the compilation IE9_langs_Install.au3 (AutoIt script) IE9_langs_Install.au3 $wusa = @WindowsDir & "\system32\wusa.exe" $IE9fr = @ScriptDir & "\IE9-Windows6.1-LanguagePack-x86-fra.msu" $IE9heb = @ScriptDir & "\IE9-Windows6.1-LanguagePack-x86-heb.msu" RunWait($wusa & " " & $IE9fr & " /quiet /norestart") sleep(1000) RunWait($wusa & " " & $IE9heb & " /quiet /norestart") Finally I launch the IE9 language from Autounattend.xml as follow in Order4. WPI is launched in Order 5 via CDVD-Switcher <FirstLogonCommands> <SynchronousCommand wcm:action="add"> <Order>1</Order> <Description>UberPack v4 several utilities</Description> <CommandLine>cmd /C start /wait c:\Install\Win7_UberPacK_v4.exe</CommandLine> </SynchronousCommand> <SynchronousCommand wcm:action="add"> <Order>2</Order> <Description>Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool December 2010</Description> <CommandLine>cmd /C start /wait c:\Install\X86-all-windows-kb890830-v3.14_cd.exe /Q</CommandLine> </SynchronousCommand> <SynchronousCommand wcm:action="add"> <Order>3</Order> <Description>Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool December 2010</Description> <CommandLine>cmd /C start /wait c:\Install\X86-all-windows-kb890830-v3.14-delta.exe /Q</CommandLine> </SynchronousCommand> <SynchronousCommand wcm:action="add"> <Order>4</Order> <Description>Internet Explorer 9 French and Hebrew Languages adding</Description> <CommandLine>cmd /C start /wait c:\Install\IE9_langs_Install.exe</CommandLine> </SynchronousCommand> <SynchronousCommand wcm:action="add"> <Order>5</Order> <Description>Windows Post Install Wizard</Description> <CommandLine>cmd /C start /wait c:\Windows\Setup\scripts\CDVD-Switcher.exe</CommandLine> </SynchronousCommand> </FirstLogonCommands> That's all Tested working

When that reboot pop up window came? What prog activate that reboot? How far I know WPI release a reboot at the end of progs install, you may configure it. Be care if you're installing VSO progs and other like that. VSO will install Patin-Coufin driver; although you configure it to NOT reboot it rteboot anyway. Regarding IE9, as far as I'm concerned, I've IE9 integrated and get no rebbot.

Just an advice, In the past, I've got blue screen errors as welle as other weird errors during (frequently at the end of) win7 install. I noticed that "working" disk as well as "save to" disks were defragmented. Then, before making the Win7.ISO file, I cleanup and defragment the "working" and "save to" disks (using diskeeper). Since that, the install is more smoothly and NO more errors (cross fingers)

My Win7 SP1 DVD was prepared as follow 1) Integrate IE9 English @echo off Title IE9 Integration Color 0A echo. I've haven't tested, but it seems that there is possible if you have integrated French and Hebrew languages! You can use IE9-Win7.msu and integrate the languages pack files CAB (extracted from the msu languages files), before to integrate others updates, using DISM or softwares! Because inside my computer HP, I can see all the files for Internet Explorer for many languages: de-DE; en-US; fr-FR; it-IT Thanks to try and let us know. Thanks If I well understand, I can integrate first IE9-win7-xXX.msu + Windows6.1-KB982861-xXX_FRA.cab + Windows6.1-KB982861-xXX_HEB.cab all together by using DISM command. Isn't it? Also, you can't test IE9 other languages although you can see inside yr computer HP, all the files for Internet Explorer for many languages: de-DE; en-US; fr-FR; it-IT, bacause you haven't integrated Win7 languages? Regards

After Win7 install, i'll select the IE9 language to install with WPI. Is there any switch to install an .msu language silently? BTW, should I first remove IE8 then integrate IE9? Or just Integrae IE9 over Win 7 SP1? Regards
