Hi all, Since the above post dated October 2009, most of you has acquire a better experience with Winows 7 AntiVirus/Firewall. I just start using Windows 7. I'm from many years Symantec Endpoint Ptotection user. I red about all the the above, and ask myself: Do I continue using Symantec Endpoint Ptotection or strat using MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) and/or Windows Defender? I'll really appreciate your advice. Regards

Hello, As Office 2007 is very similar to Office 2010, I post this. Don't hamer me please. I got success building the whole Office 2010 Pro Plus silent install. 687 MB. Unfortunately, I can’t reduce it When I suppressed Access, Infopath, Publisher, Groove and the NL, DE, AR Proofing tool language (reduced to 561 MB), I got "Setup Error; The language of this package is not handled by the system” message (translated from French). In fact, when setup is running it scan all the components, if any is missed Igot the message above. Just as when I modified XD:\Office2010\Proofing.fr-fr\setup.xml to handle an extra language, I got "Installation Error; the installation can not continue, a request file is damaged or missed…” message (translated from French). I’ll appreciate any help Regards

Hello myselfidem, TNX again for all yr helps I'll test the Image size reducer later. I never stop any proces while getting errors. Unfortunately when errors happens, the process continue and create ISO file, while that ISO file is a simple copy of the Win7 source (NO integration). Regards

Hi myselfidem As you've test here above adding 2 langpack (EN-HEB) may you let us know please 1) what is the result upsized ISO-DVD? 2) When you've tested that ISO-DVD (with 3 languages FR-EN-HEB) istallation. a- do all 3 languages are automatically installed? b- do it ask what language/s is to be installed (1 or 2 or all 3)? c- then what the main language? Sorry for bothering you again. I noticed in \7Customizer\work\ they are 2 new files reg.bat and reg.reg. reg.reg contain the latest tweaks I made. Isn't it? To prevent loosing data, favorites links... after a crash or reinstalling windows. In fact, last week i purchased a new machine (that i build) i7-930 2.80GHZ CPU, 6GB DDR3 RAM, X58A-UD3R and GIGABYTE motherboard. The Win XP Pro 1GB RAM "donkey" machine is used to prepare everything. I'll try buying another 1 GB soon. 1) I didn't used exe2cab.exe for the language packs, i already had them as .cab. Do you think it will be beter to download them via yr link, then using exe2cab.exe and then renaming the folders files like this: kb972813-x86-en-us.cab, kb972813-x86-he-il.cab? 2) I'll rebuild another customized DVD. But, on principe, do you think i can RE-use the already integrated (7Customier) to add the language packs or anything else? 3) Please advise when to add the addons (with one of yr above links). Before starting 7Customizer integration or after? Regards

Hi again myselfidem, I just finished my first Win7 7Custmization DVD prepared on an Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.20MHZ, 1GB DDR memory machine and run Win XP SP3 Pro. It tooks 5 hours to get it finished. Here bellow the Win7 customization: French as main language, 2 extra laguage en-US and heb-IL added. 249 hotfixes (285 MB)added. DriverPacks Audio, CardReaders, Chipset, Graphic-A, Graphic-B, LAN, MassStorage and WLAN (1.42 GB) added. 5 Themes (28 MB) added. 12 Walpapers (12.8 MB) added. Tweaks. The original Win7.iso file was 2.39 GB sized, is 3.50 GB after integartion I'm surprise that although during the integration, on the debug window (DOS) i got successfully languages added, when it start saving the image I got Can't find the added languages. Moreover, I glance at that debug window during drivers integration and saw successfull xxx.INF was displayed. 1) Why the added languages were NOT integrated? 2) How do I know if the drivers were integrated or NOT? I visited that good layout about DISM since yesterday. As far i understood I have to install the DriverPacks manually. My question is: Can I install these DriverPacks with 7Customizer? If so, Do I have to extract the archives to get the .cat and .inf files? If no, Is there any automatic installer tool? Furthermore, I have no file bootorder.txt as well as bootmemtest.efi in my Win7 DVD. If I cretae a bootorder.txt (without bootmemtest.efi file) in what Win7 folder i have to save it? Regards

Hi all, Sorry if i pollute this thread. In fact I'm looking to prepare the unattended Win7 DVD on a Win XP machine. I'm confused. I red somewhere it not possible then yes is possible... I've already downloaded WAIK for Windows 7 So, can I install it on my Win XP machine? Where do iget imagex and dism? can't download dism from the jaclaz link http://www.boot-land.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=9113.
