  1. I set my max half connections in emule to 4, max new connections per 5 sec to 2, and after a couple hours I have not had any event 4226 warnings and no disconnects... emule seems to be functioning just fine, though it takes a little longer to make the initial connections (as expected). I enabled IPv6 and turned windows firewall back on, and so far so good. Thanks for the tips, guys!
  2. You can try using the ASUS Update program to update your BIOS from Windows. You can get it from your motherboard support section on the ASUS website: http://support.asus.com/download/download....model=M2R32-MVP or install it from your motherboard support CD. All you do is run the program and choose the .rom file you downloaded from the ASUS website Not sure if the program works in Vista, but I did it from XP and it was easy. Also, I hope you noticed that uvmain posted the link to my motherboard instead of yours and you didn't download the wrong BIOS
  3. I am also having problems related to that tcpip (4226) warning. But with me, my wireless connection drops completely and I can't get it to connect until I restart my computer. I rarely get the warning when I do standard surfing but whenever I try to use a P2P program like eMule my connection always drops. On XP SP2 I have never seen this happen and my wireless connection rarely drops. After I saw this post I tried to disable IPv6, and when that didn't work, I tried to disable the windows firewall, but still no luck...
  4. You may want to try updating your BIOS. My mobo is an A8R32-MVP deluxe and I had problems with DWM crashing soon after Vista started up. I thought it was a driver issue or maybe a bug that would be eventually fixed. But, after I updated my BIOS I have had no problems. Not exactly like your problem but it might be worth a shot.
  5. Just sayin' hi... found this place by googling for Vista problems I was having. I found some helpful info and thought I'd join a maybe post here and there. Hi everyone!!!
