  2. So I want to make a .bat file that will link to a file that is a network profile, and automatically import it. I know how to do this. Both files are on a flash drive. Since I never know what letter the flash drive will be assigned to, what solutions do I have for this problem?

  4. I FOUND THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A BUGGY DRIVER FOR THE INTEL 4965AGN BUILT IN WIRELESS ADAPTER IN THE DELL M1330 LAPTOP!!! Uninstalled Driver through Device Manager, Uninstalled driver software from Programs and Features, restarted computer, downloaded new driver DIRECTLY FROM THE DELL WEBSITE!!! Hopefully this will help someone else in the future!!

I used the INCREDIBLE sticky on how to generate a dmp, and it generated two, unfortunately each one is about 200mb so I wont upload, but here are the bits that I THINK SHOULD help solve the problem: FIRST .DMP: Microsoft ® Windows Debugger Version 6.11.0001.404 X86 Copyright © Microsoft Corporation. 12. love the sticky notes, but why are they always in the taskbar? cant hide the app to tray or anything, its always an active window. whats up with that?
  13. Do registry cleaners really speed up your computer? enough for you to even notice? lets take the worst case scenario: apps up to your eyeballs and registry keys galore, will a registry cleaner make a noticeable difference in performance?
  14. Using it for over a month now, Build 7100 x64. It's amazing, I love using it. I have WinXP installed for gaming. GTA 4 runs a lot better on Windows XP, but it's the only demanding game I have. Even with a E8400 OCed to 3.6ghz, 4gb of ram and a gtx 260 216, its still not as fast as you would think. But yes, using W7 as your main OS is safe
  15. Let me put it this way: is there any way to "Optimize for Quick Removal", but be able to transfer files larger than 4GB on it? I don't want it to have write caching or any risky stuff enabled, I want to be able to yank it out, like I do other flash drives, with 4GB files on this one
  16. Thanks, saved so I always have this in the future
  17. I used to have a version of Windows that automatically included the "Show Hidden Files and Folders" option in the context menu when you right click. Does anyone know what this program is called?
  18. Is there any way for me to be able to copy files over 4GB on my flash drive without "Optimizing" for Performance? I want to be able to yank it out and not worry about it dying like last time.
  19. It's ok, i'm just wondering what I should watch out for, because normally i just yank out my usb drives.
  20. I set my flash drive to Optimize For Performance instead of Optimize for Quick Removal, so I can format it in NTFS. Since its not "optimized" for quick removal. what happens if I just yank it out? of course I'm gonna be careful and do it when it's not transferring, but what are the risks now that it's not in quick removal mode? thanks in advance
  21. But I don't understand... It says... "Two Serial ATA (SATA150; 1.5Gb/s) connectors, Serial ATA RAID 0 & 1 (See What RAID levels are supported® for RAID implementation details.)" Doesn't that mean it supports RAID?
  22. After telling me that my D865PERL supports RAID in THIS article, I am told that my 82801EB controller does not support the Intel Application Accelerator in THIS article. Makes no sense at all.
  23. My BIOS is updated to the latest version (P21) and I've done it now just in case - it told me it was already at the latest version but I told it to go ahead and update anyway. I have 2 SATA hard drives connected along with a PATA optical drive. There is still no option to allow RAID in BIOS at all... This is all very sad... Intel Application Accelerator still thinks I have incompatible hardware... please help
  24. I have an ancient D865PERL board that I want to do RAID0 on until I get a new build. But when I download the "IATA_CD.EXE" file for "SATA RAID: Intel Application Accelerator", it says "Incompatible hardware. This software is not supported on this chipest. Please select 'Yes' to view the readme file for a list of selected products. Refer to section 2 titled 'System Requirements'." How can it be unsupported when this is clearly listed under the D865PERL motherboard? if I have incompatible hardware, why would they list it there anyway? Any other alternatives for RAID0? I can't do RAID0 from BIOS - there's simply no such option. Thanks in advance
