  1. John, thanks for this simple solution. It didn't show up in the Recycle Bin though. It being a special icon (not a regular shortcut) I didn't spend much time wondering. Good riddance.
  2. John, Are you telling me it's that simple? And I was looking for registry hacks...
  3. I am running XP Pro SP3, nLited with the current latest version. As part of of a malware repair, I had to install WindowsXP-KB310994-SP2-Pro-BootDisk-ENU.exe (to run ComboFix). The repair was successful, but the IE icon has appeared on my desktop. HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/Explorer - NoInternetIcon=1 doesn't make it disappear. Any help greatly appreciated.
  4. I for one don't plan on migrating to Vista. If I'll see myself forced to install it, it will be on a virtual machine under Linux. I hate eyecandy with a passion, and I don't see much of an improvement under all the crud they'll add. Not to bash MS, but I have a feeling that one of the core areas Vista will want to really shine in is DRM. Also, this will probably be in the top 10 features (quotation marks spared) people won't want
  5. r3incarnat0r, Thanks for the info, but I don't even remember any more how to use Outlook It has been a standard "remove it" item on my list ever since I first tried 98lite.
  6. Hi, Among other tweaks, I added the one to remove "Search the Internet" from the Start menu. The item did not get removed (as reported in bug report 0000154). Could someone please advise me how to remove it manually? Searching on Google didn't turn up any useful info. nLite 1.2 RC XP Pro SP2 + RyanVM, English
