  1. It's strange how XP works different on mine. I have my recording drive enabled to be able to use InCD.
  2. I am attempting to setup the Games SIMS for my daughter but it will only run with administrative permissions. I have set up a bogus user called Games with administrative permissions. I have set her up so she as to RUNAS that user to run the game. The user Games is displayed on the Welcome screen. I have searched various sites and found nothing on how I can hide that account. Does anyone know a procedure that will hide accounts from the Welcome Screen like the administrator account is? Thanks! !!HELP!!
  3. Run the defrag program under System Tools, and choose the drive you want and select analyze. After it complete select report and cluster size is listed in the report. I believe Chkdsk will also give you that information, too.:spaced
  4. Beware of the conversion program unless you set it up first. If you just convert with the default parameters, you could wind up with 512 or 1k size cluster dependent on the size of your hard drive. I had that happen to me and PC Pitstop gave me low marks on drive performance. I move all the files to another drive, reformated and it immediately changed to 4k clusters. This improved performance greatly. I don't have the information but I believe I read it here, but there is a procedure for setting up your MFT and cluster size prior to converting.
  5. Correction, InCD 3.21 is now on the Nero Site and it works with XP.
  6. I just downloaded InCD 3.20 and it appears to function correctly under XP Pro. I have formatted and moved files as if it was a floppy drive. It formats in UDF 1.5 format. I got it at the cdrinfo website. Ahead Software doesn't have it posted yet.
  7. I get the same results with new update. I believe its time to uninstall Nero totally and re-install and see if that fixes the problem. I still have no option for running a simulation or test prior to burning a CD. (The program burns but I take my chances whether I want to try max speed for my burners ie Hival 16X10X40 or ZipCD 12X4X32.
  8. Sound to me like someone is trying to install Windows XP by booting up with a Windows 98 or ME Rescue disk. They setup a ramdisk to hold utilities for troubleshooting. There's my two cents worth.
  9. Where did you get 5.5.7.0 since 5.5.6.4 is the only version on the web page? I will keep looking for that version.:spaced
  10. I am using the 5.5.6.4 version of Nero in XP. My Test and Test and Burn selections are always greyed out and unselectable.:spaced
  11. I am having the same problem with my Radeon card. It occurs when I try running one of the games that came with the Plus Pack for XP. It brings up the main window, but after that if I hit play or even help it crashes. (the hyperbowl is good, it is the other one.) It just resets the monitor and I have to reboot. I re-installed but still same problem. I have had no problems running videos with media player though. I have tried slowing down my monitor refresh from 85 to 75 to see if that would do anything but it didn't. Microsoft update site had me install those drivers twice since I installed XP pro. Don't figure. Any suggestions?:cry
  12. Nero works good except for my Windows XP Pro all the test and burn options are greyed out and not selectable.
