How can I make my WPI CD Autorun?
I would like to put the CD/DVD in the CD/DVD Rom Drive and have the wpi.hta file open automatically. I've added the "autorun.ini" file, but that just opens the CD, it does not execute the wpi.hta file

SP2 slows down the computer
May be this has already been discussed but, what is the minimum recommended requirements for XP Pro with SP2? I've installed SP2 on computers with 128MB of memory and the computer moves at a crawl now. These systems were fine before the update. On systems with 256MB and higer, they are working wonderfully. Any suggestions or input on this?

Couple of questions
I'm sure this can be easily answered. I'm new at this WPI but I love the idea of it and it's making my life a little bit easier. Questions: 1. How can I make the WPI Auto Run? I'm putting it on a CD and I would like to be able to pop the CD in the ROM drive and have WPI.htm run automatically. 2. How can I remove the Options, Config, Show Source and About WPI from the left side of the Menu? 3. How can I add the Windows XP theme song to play while WPI is running? Thanks.

WPI and Batch files
How can I use WPI to run batch files? Every time I run a batch file from WPI the check mark shows that the command executed but nothing happens. When I run the batch file directly it works, but not from WPI. Suggestions?

How can I do the this?
Hello all, I work in a large organization and I constantly have to reload computers. I've seen an XP Pro CD where after the OS installs, you are presented with an Options menu at the end and you can select which programs / tweaks / codecs you want to install - No Drivers, just the OS and Programs. If I can create something like that, I would be set. At the company I work for some people need certain programs and others don't. Managers need the professional version of Office and others only require the standard. Can anyone point me to some documentation or something that I can read and complete? Thanks.

Disk Cloning
Did you use the -activated switch? You never have to "register". If you're using Acronis, switching to Ghost won't magically solve it. Although they're all DELLs, are they all identical espl. w.r.t HAL? There're some threads in the UA Windows forum on OEM pre-activation... They are mostly identical.

Disk Cloning
This is the problem. All the computers are Dell but when I clone I end up having to activate. I've seen an XP CD where after the OS installs, you are presented with an Options menu at the end and you can select which programs you want to install. If I can create something like that, I would be set. Because some people need certain programs and others don't. Managers need the professional version of Office and others don't. Another question is....With Ghost, can I create an image and save it to a network location? Then boot the new computer with a CD and pull the image from the Network?

Disk Cloning
Here's what I usually do. Every new computer we get comes with a restore CD. I usually just use any restore cd and restore the OS, the I have to go the network to install all the applications that are used on each computer. I used Acronis to clone the image and saved it to the network. Then When it's time to restore a computer, I would boot with the Acronis CD go to the network and download the image. Decompress and boom! new OS. Only problem is that it need activation. Right now I'm looking into creating a Windows XP CD and slipstream ALL the applications into the OS.

Disk Cloning
Hello All, Does anyone know how to clone a disk and copy the image to multiple hard drives without having to reactivate or enter a new CD Key after each copy? Reason I ask is, I work in a large company and I'm constantly having to restore computers. I tried the SysPrep but every time i copied the image I was prompted on the new computer to enter a new serial number and then to register. Thanks.

There's a lil Virtual CD tool that's on Microsofts' website. It's simple enough I think.
