  1. Hello everyone! Is there any chance that vista asks during an unattended setup for the hostname of the system to be installed? I've got <ComputerName></ComputerName> under the section <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> in my autounattend.xml, but the setup doesn't ask for a hostname. The thing is, that I'm creating a computer-account inside the active-directory and I want vista setup to use this account, hence I need to change the hostname of the system. And no, I don't want to do this manually after install. Thanks in advance for any help! Regards, SebastianM
  2. The "Repartition = No" thing works great here, but I got another problem. My company wants me to install application, profiles etc. on a 2nd partition (normally D:\). When I create a 2nd partition at the beginning of the windows xp setup process I'll get the E:\ letter for that drive (seems logical cause there's a CD/DVD drive in that PC). My question is: How can I force windows xp setup to use the D:\ letter for the 2nd partition and the E:\ letter for the CD/DVD drive? Thanks in advance for any help! So far Sebastian
  3. Don't copy the drivers to WINDOWS\i386\$oem$ ! The $oem$ directory has to be under the WINDOWS directory, I made the same failure and needed 3 days to figure that out
  4. I'm running into the same problem right now. I want 2 partitions, C:\ and D:\ Beside that I got the problem, when the PC got a CD/DVD drive the 2nd partition is named E:\ Any chance to bypass that or even to automate the process like the thread author mentioned? My company forces me to create 2 partitions and use the 2nd one for applications etc. Thanks in advance for any help! So far Sebastian
