Gape
@azagahl: 2.0 Beta 3 is quite stable, I have found some minor cosmetic bugs so far.@cozetti: Good!@hp38guser: It is not a problem, they are installed by other files (for example: MSDAIPP.DLL is installed by RBUPDATE.EXE). For slipstreaming support, they are in the SP2.CAB, too.@mkjp: Do you have English version? Are you using 98lite?

Gape
Yes I use english version. I not use 98lite.Gape were is Unofficial PowerArchiver 6.11 Update????I can not download it???PowerArchiver 6.11 Update is now useless because of new RAR (v3) and 7z formats. I recommend some other freeware ZIP suites such as TUGZip, IZArc...About Notepad problem: SP only patches Notepad.exe if it is original "Notepad.exe". Perhaps your Notepad.exe has different from original Windows 98 SE English Notepad.exe.
Acheron
What about msdaip.dll in rbupdate.exe? Why do you include 3 versions of a single file? Why don't you just remove the whole rbupdate part of installation
Gape
What about msdaip.dll in rbupdate.exe? Why do you include 3 versions of a single file? Why don't you just remove the whole rbupdate part of installation Rbupdate has a detection utility and two different versions of MSDAIP.DLL. It installs proper version.SP2.CAB contains one of them for semi-slipstreaming support.
Acheron
And can you be more specific? What is the difference between the two files? What is the slipstreamsupport? Can I just copy sp2 to my cd or what? You don't have any documentation released yet about the sp.
Gape
And can you be more specific? What is the difference between the two files? What is the slipstreamsupport? Can I just copy sp2 to my cd or what? You don't have any documentation released yet about the sp.OK RBUPDATE has two versions of MSDAIP.DLL. One of them is for Windows 98 SE with Office 2000 or XP installed, the other is for Windows 98 SE without Office 2000 or XP installed. It contains a detection utility for installing the proper version.Semi-slipstreaming support (as I explained before, nothing changed) is for slipstreaming most of the hot-fixes into Windows 98 SE setup. If you extract the contents of the SP2.CAB into your Windows 98 SE setup folder, Windows's setup will use these fixed and newer files during installation. I called it "semi", because it only contains the hot-fixes only, not contains all features of the SP.
Acheron
Way to dificult, why do you include office update with it?What happens when the newer 1.0.3 file gets copied to the system when no office 2000 / XP is installed?

Gape
Thanks MDGx,So, I will remove RBUPDATE, and I will add this newer update for 2.0 FINAL. (Expected release date 1-2 February.)I have a question for all: I think I'll add new desktop icons feature as a seperate DLL, and it will be optional. What do you think? Is it OK? Acheron
Gape, why don't use a bytepatcher for that?BTW, don't use MSI for the webfolders update but write your own inf. Then I'll be able to put it also in Dutch Service Pack. This weekend I'm away, so no more questions from me until the final (RC?).Please write that tutorial for translators (about patching files etc.)
