BloodStalker
Hi there, I realize there is another post with basically the same thing, I am gonna edit it soon. I just recently downloaded a custom ntoskrnl.exe file for windows xp. Now I want to use it with SP2 but the kernel I downloaded is SP1. Now I know this one won't work, but I would like to take the necessary bmps, and edit my SP2 kernel with these new ones. Now the problem is when I open ntoskrnl.exesp1(that is the custom)certain bmps are black. Now i saved the bmp to the hard drive, but when i open them they are still black, I want to edit them slightly before i put them into the sp2 kernel. Can someone please tell me how I can get it so they will display what they are supposed to display.

Alanoll
Google for a program called Boot Editor. Copy the ntoskrnl.exe file in the boot editor folder. Start up booteditor. It should display all bitmaps correctly. It will also save the bitmaps properly too (I think anyway)
