Bad boy Warrior Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Im curious to know what you guys would be doing about gearing up for WS2008 or not. Would you just play with it alongside WS2003 or do you have no interest in upgrading to it??
fizban2 Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 been running test boxes of it since the 5000 build along side vista, beta 3 would be the first one that i would run production, now it is just convincing my management that it is a viable option.
jpatto Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Probably keep a box for testing and playing purposes but definately not until after SP1 as a few many times ive upgraded to MS software and i ended up sorting out bugs more than anything else

cluberti Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 The Group Policy benefits over 2003 are quite good, especially for those planning on running Vista on the desktop - not to mention the use of SMB2.0 between Vista/2008.
DennisT Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 I'm putting off an Exchange 2007 implementation until 2008 is released. They call me Nick. Nick Danger.
InTheWayBoy Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I'm excited about the Server Core aspect, seems perfect for a virtual environment!

nmX.Memnoch Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I plan on upgrading my home server to 2008 as soon as it's available on MSDN. I'll upgrade at work as soon as it's authorized for us (which may be a while, current estimates on Vista changed from Fall '07 to Q1 '09...).
