You may have heard that Vista has a firewall, where inbound in enabled but outbound is disabled.

To enable outbound traffic, it is fairly difficult. Use this nice app that gives you pop ups like most other firewalls when an application is trying to access the internet.

Vista Firewall Control

It's not the best, but sure beats having to install one. Just use Vista's firewall with this and you'll know what program is trying to access the internet.

Im using vista ultimate and the default firewall interface allows you to control both outbound and inbound connection so you dont need an extra tool.

dont know about other versions of vista though, anyway thanks for the info :thumbup
