funderburgh Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 I removed Vista on my new laptop after learning it was not compatible with some of my core applications. I have successfully installed XP home with the exception of the graphics driver. The machine has the Intel 945GM/GU chipset with an embedded graphics driver. I keep getting "New hardware found" on the chipset and have installed the Intel drivers many times. The computer works fine except the graphics quality is not first rate and I have questions marks on my display drivers in device manager. Any suggestions? Could there be a third party driver I can use for graphics? Thanks, sorry if this should be in XP forum.
nitroshift Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 First off, welcome to msfn . As you stated, this should be under Windows Xp section, but anyway... Now to your issue: have you tried the latest drivers found here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Des...on〈=eng ?
funderburgh Posted June 18, 2007 Author Posted June 18, 2007 Yes, that's exactly what I have been using for the graphics driver, and I have the intel chipset drivers as well. Sorry for the missed posting, I figured I might not be the only Vista victim on this issue.
