Hello,

My unattend Windows XP CD works fine other than when I use it in a computer that requires SATA controller drivers loaded from the floppy. I have done some research and it seems all I need to do is insert the floppy with the necessary drivers when the installation process begins. The strange thing is the installaton formats the hard disk (which shows the drivers seem to have loaded ok) but then stops and asks for the files on the floppy drive again even though the floppy is still in. Hitting enter causes the floppy drive to seek and then the message to appear again. I don't want to incorporate the drivers on the installation cd as I use the unattend cd on many different types of new and old computers and am happy creating a floppy and entering it.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

dos it work with the Floppy metho if you do not have an answer file on your cd? Are you certain the floppy you have actually works? What SATA controller are you trying to install to?

Have tested the floppy with an install CD that does not have an answer file and it works without a hitch. The problem must lie with the answer file...
