Msn Messenger 6

Recommended Posts

When my unattended XP installation is completed a windows comes up asking to insert the cd containing msn messenger. If i click cancel there is no problem. If I click ok it asks for the location <CD DRIVE>\I386 folder. I am installing MSN Messenger 6.0.0602 using the following command line

start /wait %systemdrive%\install\MSN\MsnMsgs.msi /QB

I had a similar problem

I installed v5 using normal setup not when I'm doing a format

everytime I opened msn it installed the msn files over and over again

I found the solution in uninstalling the whole thing and reinstall again!

Hi,

I am not getting the problem evrytime I start MSN. But when it runs for the first time after installation. I asks for the path to the files and if I click cancel, everything just works fine. But it is an annoyance. Can someone find a solution to this

did you put this into your winnt.sif file

[Components]msmsgs=off

This option tells Setup not to install Windows Messenger 4.6

maybe that might fix it

Hi,

Should I put it as msmsgs off or on. I have put it as off in my winnt.sif file and I am getting the message. :)
