With the program i6comp.exe from i6comp020.zip on this site you can extract, replace, delete files in InstallShield .cab files. Included in that i6comp020.zip is the source code so any of you devs can play with it I guess.. I didn't make it so, check out that site first.

Using this program I replaced PERSFW.exe (Kerio Personal Firewall) in data1.cab so I could use a patch, splash-screen-less, in my install. Check out my other post here about that.

Hope this helps anyone. If anyone has an easier method of how to edit InstallShield cab files, let me know..

great tip!

I hope it works with systemworks 2003

symantec has done some wierd things on that setup

I couldn't manage to change it yet

will see it with this tool :)
