Taskbar problems on Dual-monitors

Featured Replies

Hey,

I recently installed a second monitor to increase visibility in my workspace. For some reason the taskbar spreads across both monitors. I know most people would prefer this but I would rather have it on just one monitor. Any idea how I can fix this issue?

Thanx, MT

I know that's possible with UltraMon app but it's not free. It is the best application for managing dualscreen desktops IMHO.

You can download and try the demo version.

I was able to use the nividia software that came with my video card driver package. It allowed me to configure my dual monitors in a couple different ways.

If you have an nvidia card, go the nvidia control panel and have a look around. I do not remember exactly (and I'm at work), but you should be able to find it.

I assume ATI would have a similar setup, but I can not be sure.

Hope this helps...

I assume ATI would have a similar setup, but I can not be sure.

Ya know, that's funny because I assumed the same thing when I switched to an ATi video card ... (but we're wrong) They don't.

Neither of my ATi video cards (1 x300 & 1 of the new X1650pro) have the dual screen configuration flexibility of the nVidia MX4000 that I had in my old comp.

If it's an nVidia card then it can be configured through advanced properties. If it's an ATi card I'd love to know how the hell he got it to do that in the first place. Because mine won't & I'd gotten used to having it with my nVidia card.
