vista can access to xp, however, when xp cannot access to shared folder of vista, message box said" .... is not accessible, you might not have ...contact the adm..access is denied" .plz help me solve this problem. thanks

XP cannot access Vista how? Through Remote Desktop? If that's the case, you need to update your Remote Desktop client on Windows XP and also go to the System Properties --> Remote tab, and choose the second remote desktop option in Windows Vista, since XP does not support the extra security that Vista does natively, just yet.

If you're trying to access a share on Vista from XP in a LAN, you must know that by default the Guest account in Vista is turned off, so you must know the credentials of a valid account on the Vista machine in order to access the share or set the permissions of the share so that "Everyone" has at least "Read" permission.
