nicun Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 This is my first post & may be the wrong place but i couldnt find a better suited forum. So, my computer computer account logs off after about 30 - 60 secs of inactivity, I'm not sure if this is a virus or a problem with my setins but if i have changed the settings i was unaware or it was an accident.I'm pretty bad with computers..
Ponch Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Do you get "This computer is in use and has been locked...." or the normal logon screen ?If the first case, just uncheck the "password protect" box in the screen saver options (or modfify settings according to your choice). This is in Control Panel, Display. If you are really logged off, ... ??? Must be in the Power Options.
nicun Posted June 3, 2007 Author Posted June 3, 2007 no, just sends me back to account menu, i dont have any screensaver settings other than standby after 25 minutes
Idontwantspam Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Does it log you off after 30-60 seconds, or 30-60 seconds of not touching anything? What is your screensaver set to? If you have password protect set for your screensaver, and you have it set to 1 minute, and you use the welcome screen instead of the Windows 2000 style logon box, then you will shown the welcome screen after a few minutes. When you get "logged off", look at the welcome screen under your name. Does it say "Logged On" or "# Programs" in blue underlined letters? If so, then the screensaver is probably the issue.
