Ambrosia Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 (edited) Hi there !Well, since nLite 1.34, the Keyboard Selection windows on installation DOES NOT APPEAR at all, skipping directly to the Name window. And I haven't entered anything in the regional tab in nLite. I do not think to have removed anything concerning this.In fact, I used pretty the same settings like before, but since 1.34 and 1.35, I cannot get rid of this bug.PLEASE HELP ME !Thanks in advanve. nuhi Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 If you have selected Full Unattended for the Unattended mode try Hide Defaults or Provide Defaults. And now that you mention it there really isn't an option to skip the Regional settings.
Ambrosia Posted May 26, 2007 Author Posted May 26, 2007 (edited) But I've already selected Hide Defaults. My OS is really stable, no bugs, nLite build generates no errors, everything is OK. Only this bug, I cannot understand. And now that you mention it there really isn't an option to skip the Regional settings. Then it is a bug.I noticed before that when the timezone was selected, it skipped one of the screen concerning language/keyboards/timezone. I think it was the keyboard one, but I cannot remember for sure. Please help me! Edited May 26, 2007 by Ambrosia
nuhi Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Seems like you don't see the difference between a bug and a missing feature.Either delete few lines from the winnt.sif regarding the stuff you want to be prompted about or choose Prompt Defaults or don't use unattended or set the language as it should be in the first place. It's not legal to use Windows on the multiple computers, that's why there is no such option.
Ambrosia Posted May 27, 2007 Author Posted May 27, 2007 But a missing feature that should normally be present cannot be called a "bug" ?I thought it could, but I'm not a specialist in programmation vocabulary ! ^^I'll try to edit the Winnt.sif file.I cannot use Provide Default, because this is one of the reason I use nLite : having a clean and quick install process. It's not legal to use Windows on the multiple computers, that's why there is no such option.Of which option are you speaking about ?
nuhi Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Why would you want to change the language during the install if you want a clean and quick install process, that's the point of that quote.
Ambrosia Posted May 27, 2007 Author Posted May 27, 2007 (edited) Okay, some of you may find it strange, or useless, or anythingelse I don't know, but what I wish is to have a quick and clean installation process that is compatible WITH ANY KIND OF COMPUTER.That's why I need the Keyboard window.By the way, I've looked inside the WINNT.sif file. I cannot find anything related to Keyboard selection.
