Hello to All...

hello! my name's mike, but on the 'net i go by Horizon Earth.

what actually brought me here was a problem installing xp onto a new emachines W3609 with a sata 2 hard drive. it will get to a point where install just stops and says that it doesn't see a disk. it does see my cd media, so it has to be the hdd it's not seeing. the install cd even has bashrat's driverpacks installed, so i know the drivers SHOULD be there.

anyway... that's what initially brought me here. but of course once you get to a community and look around, see what all is there....

anyway, i belong to a couple other boards, and am presently a moderator on one of them. i just hope that i will fit in and prove to be a productive member here.

i get into music, mostly classic rock [though i hate that term...], but anything with a good guitar lick. started on computers with a leading edge 486dx2 and windows 3.11.
