open word document

hi,

there are 2 ways that i open a excisting word document

1 throuigh word itself which works great

2 if i try to open it in my ducuments for example it tries to open it using another program called kodac easyshare

how can i stop this

right click on the affected file, select 'open with', select 'choose program...', select 'Microsoft Office Word', check 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file', click 'OK'

That may screw up the doc file type icon by placing Word's icon in the center of a default icon (the one that looks like a blank page).

It's evident that your file associations are messed up. Try doing a repair and see if that fixes the file associations to restore the default programs for the office files.
