modifype and vista?

I am having trouble using modifype.exe on my vista ultimate x86 laptop. It keeps saying Invalid parameter. I know my coding is right cause it works fine on any xp system I run it on.

modifype uxtheme.dll -c

Anyone else experiancing this? Is there another alternative?

I have looked everywhere for an answer to this and I can't find anything. I have confirmed that there is an incompatability with vista and modifype. I can't beleive that I am the only one to have found this? Does anyone know of another way to modify the pe-checksum of an edited file so that patched xp files can still work on an xp installation disk?
