Hey guys, glad to see you guys come out with a new program! Here is the back storey, i have a 4gb hard-drive. It is called a giga-byte i-ram. What it is is a PCI card with 4 ddr ram slots(1GB each) with a battery and acts as a harddrive that maxes out the sata bus with instanteous seek times. I wanted to install vista but the after install size was to big from what i heard, thats why im happy vlite is out. But could someone tell me aproximately the afterinstall size is once you take out the majority of the garbage vista comes with? Thanks!

vLite displays the approximate size saved at the bottom of the components page.

Just a little warning it kinda exaturrates a little, will be fixing that. 10-20% probably.

So if 32bit Ultimate is around 7GB you must remove all for it to fit with the Pagefile...but even then it's questionable.

I have gotten it down to 3gigs including page file (1gig). as long as your vlite fits on a CD it shouldn't take more than that. I would stick with XP as i can get my install under 800mb excluding pagefile and have all functionality. that gives you an extra 2gigs+ for programs. hope this helps... :hello:
