rsdene Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 (edited) hi there just wondering if someone could shed a little light on what can be stripped from my vista install, i cant seem to make a iso less that 950 meg can some just run throught what things are a must? i've look'd through the descriptions and the file sizes and there seems be be nothing with any great size left.Also is there a way of deleting the upgrade folder from the iso thats built??i've had a little look throught the posts and the search and haven't seem'd to find what im looking for, any help would be greatly appreciatedkind regards,Dene Edited May 16, 2007 by rsdene
nuhi Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Upgrade folder will be removed with the Windows Easy Transfer component.That proves that you didn't actually read what can be removed. If you don't need upgrade functionality you would remove this already.If you ask me all can be removed. You won't die if you install it to another partition for a week and see what you needed to keep then remake ISO with that kept and install on the main partition.Btw don't activate the OS until you're sure that it is the one.
