Where is vista policy editor?

ok why policy editor doesnt work in vista? i start MMC and try to add policy editor and it says im not in a domain!

but how can i edit local computer and user policies?

I have managed to edit the local policy in Vista using the group policy editor from a snap in I have created.

Try doing it under safe mode

Just do the same thing as in XP. In a run box or on the command line, type gpedit.msc and the Group Policy Object Editor will appear! :^)

I did it just now just to check that it works.

I always use to do this in MMC so i didnt try gpedit.msc.
