techywiz2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 i reformatted my laptop, and reistalled an oem version of xp pro, and when i customized my desktop to show the my computer icon, networks, and my documents, and IE, they showed up on the left side of the screen... but i can't move them anywhere,i did the same thing to 6 other laptops, and all of them are normal, but this one won't let me move them...i unchecked the auto arrange, and the align to grid just to check, but they still don't move!can someone help me fix my desktop?
techywiz2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Author Posted May 15, 2007 i created a user account, but that still had the same problem, but when i went back into the administrator account, i was able to move them,i have no idea what's going on, it's very wierd!!!!
techywiz2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Author Posted May 17, 2007 i never figured out how it happened, but i installed desktop icon toy, and it still didn't work in the user account, but in administrator, it fixed it,i deleted the account and created another one, but it didn't work either, so i rebooted and uninstalled desktop icon toy, and then it worked...it must have been a registry error
