Black Screen After Windows Loading Screen

COMPUTER SPECIFICATIONS:

PT880 NEO MSI Motherboard

2.4 GHz 533mhz Processor

1 GB DDR PC400 RAM

160GB Seagate Barracuda SATA HD

Boot Sequence

1. CD

2. Floppy

3. HD (SATA)

4. Other devices

Things that I tried so far:

1. Doing a safemode and enablevga mode boot. No luck, drivers loading stop at mup.sys.

2. Tried to do a Last Known Good Configuration, still black.

3. Tried to pop the recovery console but setup did not find any hard drives installed on the system. My SATA driver is installed but it cannot detect my SATA HD. I tried pressing F6 to reinstall the driver but nothing happens, It continues loading to ASR and so forth.

4. I did a fixboot and fdisk /mbr, fixmbr using a boot utility ( Partition Table Doctor on Hiren's Boot CD 9.0) because I can't enter recovery console.

5. I accessed my files through the live KNOPPIX cd and backed them up to be scheduled for reformatting if no method avails. But the XP Install Boot Cd cannot find my SATA drive as I mentioned earlier.

6. Successfully updated my bios to version 2.0, but there is nothing new.

7. I made a BartPE cd and it has an F6 prompt (which can be pressed, not like no. 3). Therefore I successfully did a chkdsk c: /r

8. I also tried to configure it on my BIOS. The setup (windows xp boot disk installer ) cannot detect the Hard Drive. But my system boots up the device because I already installed the SATA driver a long time a go. But even though the system boots up my SATA device it goes on a black screen. Now I am trying to reformat it, with the use of the setup CD but it won't detect the HD considering I already have installed the drivers a long time a go. So, I decided to reinstall it and press F6 but nothing happens, loading is not interrupted and conitnues.

What I will be trying to do:

1. Make a slipstream CD install of xp that has my SATA driver ( so i won't need to press f6)

2. Backup my files on my external HD using BartPE or BackTrack Linux.

3. Format My Harddrive and Install xp ((if i succeed on step no. 1)).

4. Reinstall all my programs..

Do you know other methods that will not require me to reformat my drive. I searched the net and no methods seem to work for me. Any help will be appreciated.

I guess i posted this on the wrong section, I was reading a topic from this section and clicked the new topic. I was supposed to paste this on the Windows XP help and support. Mods Kindly please move this to the right section. Thank You..

Was there any failure notice in the end repport ? (there is also a chkdsk option in the System/Storage menu)

none... i also tried to add a /basevideo on my boot.ini in case this was a video driver related problem.

But when I booted up the same happens with /basevideo mode.
