gomu
Hi people!I'm currently using Vlite 1.0 beta, and tried splitting my Vlited vista ISO which is about 1.2GB to 700MB CD images. When I set the ISO size to 700MB, the ISO count is 2. But the end result is actually 3 images.1st image: 658MB2nd image: 516MB3rd image: 26.4MBHere's the expected question: Why isn't the 2nd and 3rd image combined into 1 image instead? Did I do anything wrong? Thanks and keep up the good work!
nuhi
You didn't do anything wrong.Answer is that only the image (install.wim file) is actually split. So if you want to fit it in 700mb it must be lets say 520mb that file + rest of them. But then for the next CD it will go another 520mb and what's left of the image on the third. That's how that functions works. Why isn't the first one full 700? Because of the ISO optimizations, it saves double files only once.So it's up to you to recalculate...now you can up it to 740 and it will fit on 2CDs with first one closer to 700.
