the-commuter
I have a client that we just setup with an XP 64 bit system, I then installed Office Small Business 2007 onto his system. He is using Outlook 2007, no Exchange server, just straight POP and SMTP servers. He is able to receive emails with out any issue. Sending email is another issue. He will compose an email, hit send, it shows in his outbox, it leaves his outbox and is never heard from again... his connection to the SMTP server is good, we even tested it using telnet. We are at a loss! Any suggestions?
underdone
I would try sending the emails through another method to make sure that the SMTP server is working correctly.
Stoic Joker
Sounds like a typical corrupt Outlook profile issue to me. Back up their mail etc., then delete the Outlook profile in control panel then recreate it from scratch. Now sure how or why this happens but it seems to every now and then when you setup Outlook for the first time ... It just decides to Bork the profile.
