techywiz2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 i'm trying to create a boot cd for xp on my s7020d with nlite, but whenever it tries to boot, it says the line 15821 of the inf file \i386\txtsetup.sif is ionvalid,i have no idea how i'm supposed to find line 15821 in the txtsetup, there's no way i'm going to count down 15821 lines...i used nlite to create the image, and i integrated all the correct drivers off the fujitsu website, and i slipstreamed all the updates and hotfixes... at first it kept saying it couldn't find the hard disk, so i updated the chipset driver, and now it starts checking my configuration when that error pops up, (line 15821 of the inf file \i386\txtsetup.sif is invalid, setup cannot continue, press any key to exit, before, when i set my unattended settings, i changed the display resolution, but i reset that back to default, so it's not the resolution...i've been working on about 16 different laptops, 8 fujitsu s7010's and 8 s7020's...the 7010's i got to work fine, but it took me three weeks to figure out, as i'm attempting to learn this as i go, (which isn't very easy trying to learn nlite and create a bootable xp pro disk at the same time without any resources...) but the 7020's always come up with that specific error, any suggestions, i finally got so busy i forgot how to do everything, now i end up skipping a step somewhere or something...
MadBoy Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 i have no idea how i'm supposed to find line 15821 in the txtsetup, there's no way i'm going to count down 15821 lines...How about enabling 'status' line in simple notepad/wordpad or any other free file editor and look there what line it is? Then it would be easier to help at all Each file can have diffrent stuff in that line so please be more specific.
techywiz2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 i went into the editor, and found out there's a line counter built in,i think it's just notepad, and i just clicked edit, go, and entered the line, but now it's a different line every time i fix and reboot...thanks though... all the lines have to to with an 'atheros' wlan driver,i tried not even integrating the driver and used an intel wlan driver instead, but the atheros driver lines still show up in a different spot every time,i run a search for the word atheros in the document, and it onlly shows up one time, i tried removing the brackets ( [1] ) i tried changing the number to zeroand i tried deleting the line, which only shows up somewhere else in the documents every time i reintegrate it
