Well I'm getting my new comp soon and am gonna install Vista unfortunately, because I need to play dx10 games . I was just curious with vLite at this point can you remove/tweak enough things to get like a slimmed down copy of xp? I really enjoy my super slimmed down winxp and I'm hoping I'll be able to the same with Vista since in has even more useless s*** than xp.

Not fully yet. It can slim down Ultimate 32bit down to 2.x GB in size (from 7GB), that's like 5-6 times the XP nlited.

However if you have RAM for it it goes quite nicely, all the biggest hogs are removed.

Thanks man, I'll have 2x1gb on my new rig. I'd like to have more but this is just a budget comp (e6320, 2x1gb, 965, 8800gts320, etc) to hold me off till the end of summer when I'll blow a good 6-7k on a penryn rig. I should just wait but I can't stand an axp rig any longer
