Hey

I have a major startup issue with Windows Server 2003 Web Edition. When I start my computer it correctly displays the Microsoft Windows logo and the small loading / processing bar but after that it displays a totally black screen with no mouse pointer instead of a login screen.

It's a totally new / fresh installation of Windows Server 2003 Web Edition - I haven't been able to start it up once and I have tried to reinstall it 3 times, same result each time. I can however start it up in "Safe mode" or "Safe mode with Networking" but since I haven't installed any software or drivers I can't "fix" anything when I startup in safe mode.

Any ideas on how to resolve this problem?

Best regards

Hmm... I just solved the problem by choosing to startup in Enable VGA Mode. I guess it was my GeForce 2 MX 400 which caused the trouble.
