surgeon Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Hello,i found the english term of my problem : autocomplete feature in IE7.In my Internet option, tab content, all is checked.I was wondering (because I don't remember at all) if I had checked a specific option with Nlite when I made my XP CD. I checked my nlite.inf file but i don't understand anything when i search for the value 'autocomplete'.Can you help me I say how can I restore the autocomplete feature please?????THX a lot for your help
albator Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 In IE6 you need the Protected Storage service to be running for autocomplete to work. Did you turn off or remove this service with nlite ?
surgeon Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Hello, i'm first going to know what is 'protected storage service' in french...because i couldn't not find it in english (i'm french and my xp cd too naturally) And i will tell you
surgeon Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 HEllo again I found with google a service called pstores.exe...There is no such a file like pstore. Only pstores.dllHow can i repare pstore.Exe.I can't find any 'pstore*.ex*' on my original XPCD.Before nlite, this features worked...And anywhere there is a link to download pstores.exe...I'm lost....Plesase help methx a lot
albator Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 In french the service name is :Emplacement protégé. Check to be sure that this service is started.Or a simple solution to your problem may be switching to firefox, you will get a better browser too.
surgeon Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Protected storage (lsass.exe, i Found it) is started (automatic status) The dependances too : RPC in automatic too. So, i really don't understand anything cause before using Nlite (I don't critisize it cause I love it ) this feature was working very well. SO bizarre?!?!? If noone has any other solution (registry or other) so, let's go on without autocomplete features....
