MuttonFlanks Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 OK so the QuadGT is great and everything, worked right out the box and booted up in one try. But I was having trouble getting it to work in AHCI mode for my SATA drives as it was always booting up in IDE mode, and if I changed BIOS to ACHI Windows would crash. So I thought it was because I already had Windows installed with BX2 drivers (which is the 975 chipset). So I deleted my hard drive partition and using nLite I made a new full install XP CD with the ICH8R SATA drivers combined. But now I am stuck at the screen where after I press F8 to accept the licensing agreement, it says that I have an upgrade version of Windows XP and to insert a disk with the full version. I had this EXACT same problem with my Bad Axe 2 until I slipstreamed the 975 chipset SATA drivers onto the XP CD. Then my XP install worked fine with no problems. But with QuadGT (965 chipset) even though I slipstreamed the SATA drivers I'm still getting the same problem.Did I mess up the nLite process somehow? I copied my whole XP Pro CD (Full version) into a folder. I downloaded the Intel Matrix Storage Manager and extracted the files. During the nLite process I chose to integrate SP2, integrate drivers, and make disk bootable ISO. When it asked for integrated drivers I could only choose the textmode drivers so I selected just the ICH8R SATA drivers. Do I need to select more than one?Any ideas? I dunno what to do now...
