cregg
Hello everybody,I'm having a problem with my XP pro SP2. The System log of the Event Viewer is constantly reporting this error:Event ID: 7000 "The Cryptographic Services service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified" The details show that the missing file is netevent.dll. Actually the file is installed in C:\WINDOWS\system32I thought the dll could be corrupted so I copied it from another computer and tried to register it with the regsvr32 command but I get the following error message:"netevent.dll was loaded but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. The file cannot be registered".Now I do not know what to do, do you have any idea? This error is preventing me for from installing some sw and fixes.TIA,Cregg
