fdv
I have a client who has a PC set up for public access. He wants the C:\ drive off limits but wants the D:\ drive freely writeable. (He will be rewriting the C:\ with a Ghost image weekly but does not want to destroy user's data).I don't know what version of XP he is running -- I don't really want to go too deeply into what it's limitations are -- but for some reason, even as Admin, I can't set the D:\ drive to writeable in XP like I am able to in 2000/2003.My thought is this: can I create a BartPE bootable CD based on 2003 and set permissions using 2003? Logic says 'yes' but I don't know if the permissions would stay on next boot (which would be booting up XP).Anybody have any clever ideas or input, I'd appreciate it...
