I'm trying to set up a remote administration with my brother's laptop; this is because he's always downloading youknowwhat and doesn't realize OTHER people need to use the internet too. He's lagging everybody to death and I need a way to cap his speed.

But for some reason it won't connect.

I've already:

1) Disabled the netlimiter firewall

2) made sure that the laptop doesn't have a username/password

Now, I've heard suggestions about making changes to the "Security Options" section where you set "Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts" to "Classic - local users authenticate as themselves." The problem with this is that my brother's freakin' OS is in CHINESE. I can still get to Local Security Policy/Security Options, but beyond that, its all in like traditional chinese or something. Does anybody know how I can translate this into English? Or is there anybody that happens to know Chinese on this board?

Thanks =/, hope somebody helps me with this problem

Why don't you try UltraVNC? It's a full featured, fast, professional VNC software thats available for free!

Btw, if you're using a router, it may have a feature to control the bandwidth. The newer linksys routers have that option. Have a look at your routers config page- just type your "Default Gateway" IP in your browser. (You can get the default gateway ip by going to cmd (Start -> Run -> cmd) and typing ipconfig)
