Windows 2000 DHCP question

I think I already know the answer to this. but here goes.

I have multiple windows 2000 domains and I need to bring up a DHCP server.

If the DHCP server is in Domain A can users in Domian B get address from it?

They should be able to provided they're on the same network.

If they are on different networks, the routers/switches in between need to allow (and are configured for) DHCP passthrough/DHCP relay.

Do the W2k domins have to trust each other or will Domain A's dhcp server lease IP's to anyone in any domain?

It'll lease an address regardless of domain membership...even if the workstation/laptop/etc isn't a member of a domain.
