tonya Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 I this is a quick one that is bugging me. When I start to type an email address into the address box in a new email MS Outlook normally pops up an autofill box with a list of already used entries that I can pick from. No problem there. However a customer of mine asked me today why her autofill list has all of a sudden dissapeared? Why would this happen? The address book still has contacts in. It just seems that the autofill box has simply gone? Can anyone answer this conundrum ?
Ponch Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 (edited) Autofill entries are in a file in the user's profile. The file is called "outlook.nk2" or something like that and is hidden in the Application Data folder. If the local file is deleted, Outlook restarts with a blank file, and thus autofill only appears on the second time you use same adress. That's all I can say now. Edited May 1, 2007 by Ponch
